It is very important to set your main email address as your Default Email address.

When you create a new email by hitting the "Create New Message", "Create Mail" or whatever the button is called, the email will go out showing itself as being from that address.

So called "free" email addresses from Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are a trap! Phone companies don't give anything away for free ever. If you had a fight with your ISP and wanted to dump them, you'd think twice if all your prospective customers only had that email address (which you would lose) as their way of contacting you.

You control the email address @yourdomain and no one can take it from you. It's your email address for life.
